Science & Philosophy
Physics as the foundation, inspiration, and recognition of the limits of our knowledge. Software testing as a physicist’s mindset applied to the relationship between the modelled and the model. Measurement as a pragmatic tool of comparison. Philosophy with emphasis on the boundaries of the knowable and of language — not merely as scientific-physical inquiry. Suspect philosophy as the therapist’s language and contemplation of self, client, and relationship in the passing of the World, that which is Illuminated. Mathematics as far more than the study of structures. Then, of that which can be spoken, let us speak in depth. And whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be Silent.
Physics
Condensed-phase physics as an application of the atomic Standard Model to semi-classical and purely quantum systems; Born–Oppenheimer approximation in atomic and molecular systems. Standard models of particle physics and cosmology. Foundations and open problems of quantum mechanics. The measurement problem and the question of system boundaries.
∑Mathematics
Logic, set theory, and the unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics. Formal systems and their limits.
εEpistemology
Popper, Kuhn, Bohr. Falsifiability, paradigm shifts, and complementarity. How scientific knowledge actually grows.
esseExistential
Being, meaning, and the structure of existence. From Heidegger to the lived experience of contemplative practice.
Toy Models
Interactive simulations for building physical intuition. Each model exposes key parameters — adjust them and observe how the system responds. Code is open-source on GitHub.
Kelvin-Helmholtz Instability
Waves on the interface between air and water in a basin. Lattice Boltzmann (D2Q9 BGK) simulation with adjustable shear velocity, density ratio, basin geometry, perturbation amplitude, and viscosity. The characteristic billowing vortices of the KH instability emerge from small perturbations amplified by the velocity shear across the density interface.
